The faith based T-shirt company, Second Wind Creations, began by sensing a new direction from the Lord. Having spent twenty plus years in ministry preaching, teaching and conducting seminars on the freedom and healing that is found in Christ, Stephen and Karen Wells began to sense that the Lord wanted them to witness faith in God in a new way. Years before entering full time ministry, Stephen and Karen both had companies specializing in advertising, design, illustration and painting. Stephen was an accomplished watercolor artist with paintings in national galleries and even one in the Smithsonian. Karen had a company in graphic design doing brochures and print media. What they thought was a thing of the past and what they had ‘died’ to, the Lord was now suddenly bringing to life again! Stephen sensed that he was to create t-shirts messaging faith in Christ as a witness, and he clearly heard the words, “Make Jesus Proud.” A new found calling was born. Stephen began creating many t-shirts and soon he would awaken in the morning with more and more designs. Such were the Scripture Witness t-shirt series. Then it seemed the Lord was speaking to Stephen about certain states in America that God had a scripture for. So Stephen became obedient to design a t-shirt for that state with the prophetic scripture God had given for it. Then the Lord spoke again, expanding the vision, to design t-shirts for the nations. God wanting to impart a certain scripture over each nation for the times we are in. The Lord said it would begin with the nation of Zambia. Second Wind’s name was initiated by God saying to Karen that He was giving them a whole new ministry, and that it would be as a runner’s second wind. Although having served many years in the teaching ministry and thinking they were coming to an ending point, that was not to be the case. God was not done. He was now breathing new life in the form of a ‘second wind’ that they were now to run with. God later indicated that the wind would be at their back propelling them forward to message Christ through t shirts and other apparel as a last witness before the time of His return.
